Social media become one of the main and popular communication tools. The presence of social media provides convenience but also raises various problems, one of which is addiction, especially in early adulthood. This study aims to empirically prove the relationship between interpersonal communication skills and intensity of use with social media addiction among early adulthood. The sampling method used is quota sampling with the 100 students at Sebelas Maret University as the sample. The instrument used in this study is interpersonal communication skill scale (α = 0,717), intensity of use scale (α = 0,715), and social media addiction scale (α = 0,705). The hypothesis tested with multiple linear regression analysis (simultaneous) and partial correlation test. |
