The city of Surakarta had a stunting prevalence of 2.53% in 2019 and
increased in 2020 by 0.84% to 3.37%. Meanwhile, in 2021, it fell to 1.70%. The
low prevalence of stunting has prompted the Central BKKBN to make Surakarta a
pilot area for the Family Data Collection and Stunting Rate Reduction program.
Despite having a low prevalence of stunting, the Surakarta City Health Office
continues to strive to achieve zero stunting so that it plans to develop a behavior
change communication strategy. |
